On June 17, honorary worker of art, drummer Armen Tutunjyan (Chico) presented his book "Jazz in Armenia" at "Retro Music Club". Among others, ARMBUSINESSBANK also supported the musician in the publication of the book.
Armen Tutunjyan’s book "Jazz in Armenia" was published in 400 copies in Russian at "Antares" Armenian publishing house. The book, which consists of 11 chapters, covers not only the history of the development of jazz in general, but especially of the Armenian jazz, and in addition the portraits of 57 famous Armenian musicians are presented in the book. By its nature the book has educational, cognitive and informative or, better to say, encyclopedic format.
The book is also of a scientific value as based on this book Armen Tutunjyan defended his thesis on "Jazz in Armenia" in 2013 to receive a scientific degree of a candidate of art.
During the presentation of the book, the musician who has stood at the sources of Armenian jazz rendered the story of its creation and showed a short film, which reflected the contents of the book. The Musician individually thanked everyone, including ARMBUSINESSBANK, who stood beside him to carry the initiated work through.
